Women's Cricket

Grappenhall Cricket Club launched it's women's section in July 2022 with an open day to launch cricket to a whole new audience in the community. We were unsure what the interest would be but since then our women's section has gone from strength to strength.

Since the launch of the team, we have entered a number of softball tournaments and a 6 a side indoor league in January 2023. Then in the 2023 summer they entered their first softball cricket outdoor league, and managed to finish second. They have also made great progress in the women's softball cup competition.

The ladies section have now been playing hard ball cricket since 2024.

We are always keen to welcome more women into cricket at Grappenhall Cricket Club, so if your interested, please get in touch with our women's cricket lead, Rebecca Ellis on 07807 210183 or ladiescricket@grappers.co.uk
